Central isn't like other areas of Singapore; it's actually comprised of smaller areas – Singapore River, Rochor, River Valley, Outram, Orchard, Newton, Marina South, Marina East, etc. Central is most commonly known as Central Business District. Given the busy lifestyle of Central, staying healthy is just as important. In Central, there are Mount Alvernia Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Still, plans are in place to develop more medical facilities. This will help to elevate Central to become a medical hub in the future.

  • Maxwell Market is a popular food haven for all Singapore citizens, and people who work often come here for lunch. 

The critical aspect of Central? There isn't much in the way of greenery; it is, after all, a city that's got plenty of available jobs and a jumping nightlife. It much nosier than any city in Singapore, making it the place to be if you want the busy life.  Of course, the price to pay for housing is going to be more than you'd see with other Singapore towns, but you're going to pay for the convenience of everything you get here.

Central area is considered a premier location where HDB resale prices for a 4-room flat are very similar to the price of a 5-room flat in a mature estate or even the price of an Exclusive flat.
